People living with Type 2 diabetes in the UK

Excess weight is the primary modifiable risk factor. Clinician-managed medicated weight loss can significantly improve HbA1c and reduce medication dependency.
The Challenge

Living with Type 2 diabetes and excess weight is harder than most people realise

The blood sugar–weight cycle feels unbreakable

High blood sugar drives hunger. Hunger drives eating. Eating spikes blood sugar. For people with Type 2 diabetes, this cycle is a daily reality — not a lack of willpower. Managing both simultaneously requires specialist clinician guidance, not generic dieting advice.

📖 NICE Guideline NG28 — Type 2 diabetes in adults, 2022

Insulin resistance makes weight loss biologically harder for you

Insulin resistance — the hallmark of Type 2 diabetes — makes fat storage easier and fat loss harder. Many diabetes medications, including insulin, can promote weight gain. You’re not imagining it. GLP-1 medication works directly on these mechanisms.

Long waits can delay progress

When weight is affecting your health, waiting months for support can feel frustrating. WeightFall gives you faster access to clinician-led weight management, starting with a review within 1 working day

Is this a medical treatment for Type 2 diabetes?
No. WeightFall provides clinician-led medicated weight management. It does not treat, diagnose, or cure Type 2 diabetes. Always maintain your GP-prescribed medication unless a clinician advises otherwise.
No — individual results vary significantly. No specific health or weight outcome is guaranteed. Results depend on individual health status, medication response, and programme adherence.
Yes. Your clinician reviews your current medication as part of the assessment. GLP-1 medication can often be safely combined with existing diabetes treatments. Any medication changes are made by your prescribing clinician.
We cannot make this claim. Some patients have reduced or discontinued medication under GP supervision as their health improved — but this is not guaranteed and is entirely your GP’s decision.
NHS specialist weight management has average waits of 12–24 months. WeightFall begins your clinician review within 1 working day, with ongoing 3-weekly specialist check-ins from the start.
Not without your consent. We recommend informing your GP. With your permission, we can share a progress summary with your GP surgery.
Every 3 weeks your GLP-1 specialist clinician reviews your progress, weight changes, side effects, and how your plan is working. They then maintain, adjust, or escalate your treatment. Everything happens online — no appointments needed.
If a clinician determines treatment isn’t clinically appropriate for you, your payment for that order is refunded. You won’t be charged for treatment you can’t receive.
The starting price covers your first treatment dose, clinical assessment review, clinician sign-off, and your first 3-weekly check-in. Prices vary by treatment type and dose — you’ll see a full breakdown before committing.
You’re not locked in. Treatment is reviewed continuously and your clinician will guide you on when and how to taper if you choose to stop. No long-term contracts.
Our clinicians are experienced with comorbidities — including hypertension, high cholesterol, PCOS, and sleep apnoea alongside diabetes. Your full health profile is assessed before treatment begins.
GLP-1 receptor agonists improve insulin secretion, reduce glucagon release, slow gastric emptying, and reduce appetite. They are approved for both weight management and blood sugar control in people with Type 2 diabetes.
